Eviction Drives Clear Encroached Forest Land in Three Assam Districts

Around 300 hectares of encroached forest land have been cleared across Golaghat, Nagaon, and Hojai districts.

The evicted regions include Doyang Reserve Forest, Nambor South Reserve Forest, Borpani Reserve Forest, and Jamuna-Moudanga Reserve Forest.

Forest conservation actions operate under the Indian Forest Act 1927, Forest (Conservation) Act 1980, and Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972.
